Chris
Bubany Celebrates the Everyday!

Chris Kennedy-Bubany is a
native of the southwest, born and raised in New Mexico. She
has lived in Tucson, Arizona for over 30 years. Chris grew up
in a large family surrounded by beautiful art made by the
Zunis, Hopis, and Navajos. Her parents were in the Indian
arts and crafts business and her grandparents were traders in
the early 1900’s.
Chris’
early love of art developed from making lots of cards and
drawings for family and friends growing up. Coloring was a
favorite activity and you know the saying about “doing as an
adult that which you loved as a child!” She holds a BFA in
Graphic Design from the University of Arizona and has managed
to create her art for others while being a full-time mom to
two sons.
Building a
house in 1994 with her husband George led her into the
exciting world of ceramics when she painted tiles for the new
kitchen and baths. Today, Chris is designing and producing
ceramic tableware, glass ornaments, tile, wool rugs, and
coaster stones with more new things in the works. ENJOY! |
